Championnat de France open de Star de Marseille

The French National organised jointly by the Société Nautique de Marseille and the Club La Pelle was raced in Marseille on the last week-end of september (28th-29th- 30th). A strong mistral forced the Race Committee to postponed and then cancel racing on Friday, but four excellent races were completed on Saturday 29 th with a south easterly wind ranging from 15 to 20 knots with gusts, and two more on Sunday 30 th with a lighter south easterly averaging 10 knots. Altogether Xavier ROHART double world champion and bronze medal in Athènes, crewed by local Jonathan PACELLE made no mistakes and left only the first race to the rising talent of Régis BERENGUIER, master champion in the Laser class, crewed by his son Vincent, double winner of the Tour de France à la la Voile on Toulon-Hyères Coych.

Very friendly athmosphere between fleets of Annecy, Nice, Marseille, Monaco Paris and even Angers. The season next (and final) rendez-vous is the Christmas Regatta in Nice.
